Utilization Review Coder

What you'll be doing: Works with all assigned branches to assure accurate ICD-9 (10) and OASIS coding. Reviews OASIS documentation to ensure accurate coding and provides feedback to branch. Works with regional and divisional management to develop and implements best practices for documentation and coding of homecare and hospice services. Collaborates with all management teams to develop clinical strategies. Keeps abreast of pertinent industry utilization, medical coding practice standards and guidelines for both payers as well as providers and ensures all applicable processes are in alignment with company process and standards. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What your background should be: The candidate should have experience in related field. Strong knowledge of clinical guidelines or protocols. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to present to groups of all sizes are required. Must be able to multi task and work well under pressure. Must be proactive, responsive and resourceful. Ability to work a flexible schedule and extended hours on occasion. Must read, write and speak fluent in English.
