What you'll be doing

Work closely with the planning and strategic governance officer to implement and manage an efficient and effective risk management accountability and operating model. Oversee planning and execution of global ops agenda, driven by the enterprise risk management agenda. Coordinate efforts across the business and technology to demonstrate quantifiable improvements in risk management and risk mitigation. Assess, develop and implement a holistic approach to technology risk management to influence the technology architecture, business prioritization and investment decisions. Drive recommendations into the annual strategic planning process, ensuring outputs are aligned to the highest risk priorities. Plan and execute cross-region risk and compliance initiatives that, negotiating required changes with audit and compliance and coordinating efforts across the business areas and technology. Create and execute the risk management change management plans, ensuring activities (training, communication, etc) are practical, targeted, culturally accepted and effective. Identify, assess and escalate issues and challenges encountered while executing upon the risk management agenda, providing recommendations for resolution. Oversee systems and environment stability from a business perspective, ensuring the awareness and engagement of appropriate business owners and coordinating problem escalation and resolution across the business and technology. Manage prioritization and coordinate appropriate business engagement in enterprise infrastructure driven initiatives across the project lifecycle (e.g. EI outbound projects).

What your background should be

12+ years of experience in various business or technology roles with progressive responsibility, preferably within the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience managing complex business processes, technology and change programs across a matrixed organization. Analytic and strategic thinker capable of translating senior-level direction and corporate risk management policies and procedures into structured, practical, efficient and effective business processes. Able to achieve results in a matrix setting through stewardship, influence, motivation and change leadership.
