What you'll be doing

The global ops vice president of planning and portfolio management is responsible for initiative and technology planning pursuant to the identified global ops strategy, identifying and managing demand and resource management, strategic alignment, knowledge management, establishing and maintaining definitions and standards for portfolio and project management, preparation and conducting of internal global ops monthly operating reviews as well as coordinating global ops material for global technology and operations monthly operating reviews. Coordinating and collaborating by partnering across global technology and operations, the global ops planning board, within global ops planning and strategic governance and with other corporate areas as needed. Communicating and making recommendations to the regional global ops leaders, members of the global ops planning board, peers within planning and strategic governance and with other corporate areas as needed. Perform other related functions as needed.

What your background should be

12+ years of experience in various business or technology roles with progressive responsibility, preferably within the financial services industry. Demonstrated experience managing complex business processes, technology and change programs across a matrixed organization for a Fortune 50 company. Ability to champion change, inspire a shared vision and promote key values. Analytic and strategic thinker capable of translating senior level direction and corporate risk management policies and procedures into structured, practical, efficient and effective business processes. Able to achieve results in a matrix setting through stewardship, influence, motivation and change leadership. Problem solver with the ability to translate qualitative and quantitative information into actionable recommendations. Strong leader with demonstrated sound business judgment. Able to inspire the trust, confidence and respect of peers and other senior leaders. Develops talent for the future. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills including oral and written communications, relationship building, collaboration, influencing, negotiation and conflict mediation across a broad range of levels in the organization. Ability to work independently with flexibility and focus in a dynamic environment. Customer service orientation. Knowledge of global operations: organization, services and technology portfolio. Advanced skills in business management tools including: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, project and access. Experienced with technology portfolio and risk management tools and data facilities.

Required Schooling / Training

Bachelor degree.
