What you'll be doing

Providing target specific mission planning and execution forecasts to mission director to maximize mission capabilities and effectiveness. Continuously analyzing weather parameters that support achieving mission requirements while anticipating and avoiding inclement weather. Working with mission planners 24 hours in advance to adjust routes to avoid possible weather impacts to the planned mission. Responsible for maintaining and developing additional sme level knowledge on predicting and evaluating weather conditions around the globe as the information pertains to mission execution and effectiveness. Providing crew members and senior government officers with mission focused weather forecasts and reports. Performing post mission assessments and recommendations to senior government staff. Responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor in appearance and communications in a crew environment.

What your background should be

5 + years of experience as weather planner for aviation operations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and an ability to complete assignments with little or no supervision. Member must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Flawless history in creating, handling and marking classified materials in and around controlled facilities. Member must be able to work a dynamic schedule to include weekends, night hours and long duration shifts. Proficiency with microsoft windows, jwics, sipr, microsoft office. Willing to take polygraph test.
