Youth Case Manager

What you'll be doing
- The Case Manager is stationer under a contract or collaborative agreement with the workforce development board. Services include development of treatment plans, development of career development plans, maintenance of records, and interacting with other service providers. The Case Manager must provide support services by working with individuals with disabilities or disadvantages. Candidate will interview and counsels youth participants to determine career goals, barriers to employment and the need for additional training and education. Evaluate the need and assists with, providing additional support services as needed. Provide ongoing case management and documents case notes and progress in the consumer file and automated case note system. Monitors, assesses and documents each client participation in rendered services. Provide job development and placement services to assist individual in obtaining appropriate employment. Provide crisis intervention for program participants. Implements and maintains compliance of pertinent accreditation standards for both departmental and agency requirements. Provide data and documentation for status reports (Quality, Quantity, and Progress) of the program including monthly reports and quarterly reports as required. Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding youth participant case files and all other participant information. Demonstrate good work habits for employees and program participants, maintaining a good attitude towards the operation of the entire facility and is a positive role model for individuals receiving rehabilitation services.
What your background should be
- Minimum two years professional level experience in career guidance or related field. At least one (1) year experience working with youth. Familiarity with the local labor market, community service agencies and programs offered by local educational and training institutions. Knowledge pertinent to the needs of youth eligible individuals. Knowledge of resume writing, job searching, and interviewing techniques. Must have effective vocational counseling skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have valid Arizona driver license and good driving record.
Required Schooling / Training
- Bachelor Degree in Counseling and Guidance, Vocational Evaluation, Social Services, Education, Psychology or related.
