What you'll be doing

The company is actively seeking a dynamic, innovative, highly motivated Youth Development Director (Swim & Play). The primary purpose of this position is to oversee aquatics and adventure guides. This position will focus on increasing participation, retention, program quality and the overall member experience in these program areas as well as build positive relationships with volunteers and parents. Other responsibilities include program management and development, staff hiring and training, volunteer recruitment and implementation of best practices.

What your background should be

Qualified candidate must have minimum 3+ years of related professional and supervisory experience. The following certifications are preferred, current YMCA LGI or YMCA lifeguard, American Red Cross or ASHI CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, American Red Cross or ASHI oxygen administration and American Red Cross or ASHI first aid. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated competencies in the areas of relationship building, communication, organization and resource development. Ability to work with all levels of staff, management and volunteers is necessary.

Required Schooling / Training

Associate degree or the equivalent combination of education. Bachelors degree preferred.
